Getting ready for the Fall, in season and temperature... wine caves and potluck!

Nature is moving on in her ever present cycle, and Fall is speeding upon us. As Equinox arrived and Autumn has taken its hold upon the solar calendar, but not all of the beach weather. With that the beach and favourite naturist locations, become quiet and less tended as nature breaks down the plant material with wet nights, and soon morning frosts, are busy to their work. Leaves turn colour from the exposure, and naturist, tends to protect with clothing and stay indoors in the valley a little more often. At least until the sun calls them outside on warm days again... where they can still be found behind wind breaks and solar arranged placement, absorbing quality vitamin D from the sun rays. After a long fire season, after a long high water, this year. The break with the rains were welcome to know that with the passing of high temperatures, so goes the destructive flames causing evacuation and heart ache for many in the valley. Though some did find solace at Three mile beach to destress from their life's dramatic journey. The eclipse came last month, and after the full moon to follow, the blast of fall and back to work mind set brought changes to ONA. We are in full transition and urged forward by community members to restructure and expand to a higher community level of tourism. We are looking for an appropriate office and out reach centre, for the coming season. We also want to thank the few volunteers that aided to carry us through the season. Community support is what counts, and it takes everyone doing their part, not just talking about it. This season brought out the best in many.

The nude swims started by the Okanagan Shushwap Nudist Society are set to start next month. The community is speaking of supporting the nudist society and carpooling up to share in their Kelowna event. Please see their website for more information. OSNS.ca

ONA wants to thank everyone in our community for being part of a strong, and fruitful 2017 naturist season. We send our love and well wishes to the many new friends from near and far that were made in the community. ONA is looking forward to continuing to serve the Naturist community of the Okanagan and beyond in the New year, with many new and up coming events and even a few, potential new locations! Again, thank you for being a part of an amazing beach season in naturism. We suspect there will still be many reports before the year closes. It was a beutiful memory set in our minds of nature, forever.
